I took it with us!

When we moved in our first house, in 1996. We started measuring the kids (and Spice),  on the wall in the pantry.

We left for 7 years and rented the house.

We were surprised when we came back it was still there!

We kept it going.
We also added our daughter-in-laws and grand kids when they visited.

We were building a house, and we couldn't take the wall with us. I couldn't just leave it!
I measured and took every ones measurements and transferred them to a 6ft board.

I also put our last name underneath.
Our oldest is over 6 ft now, oh well.

I did take it with us!
I'm happy with it.

Our NEW adventure

I'm still here!
It's been a long time since I have blogged, not because I was to busy, or had nothing going on in my life. Our computer have been at the doc's. It was very slow and I couldn't up load any pictures. We finally got it back working.
Looking towards the back of the house to be.
Jennifer, our youngest of four is graduating this May. For the first time in our marriage (over 23 years) it will be Rob and I, and school district won't matter. We've been looking for a house for months and didn't find anything even close to what we wanted. Well we found house plans we fell in love with.

Looking to the left, our neighbor, and Rob measuring out the house.
So the next step was to find land. At a Christmas party we met a guy who owned land and was selling. There was already 5 others house in the area, with 5-10 acres apiece.

Looking to the right.Another neighbor.
We bought 5 acres! We also changed the house plans a number of times too.

Here is some of the rebarb we were placing where we wanted the house.
It's funny we wanted to down size, ha! we added a extra 1000 square feet.
Our new adventure in our lives.
So excited!

Christmas Tree '11

It seems like, "This is the best Christmas tree we every had!".
At least this is what Rob and Jennifer says. (Every year! LOL)
A Polish pottery ornament, the sun from from El Paso when we were there. the leaf is from the 911 Museum, this leaf is from one of the trees to go to the 911 Memorial Park.

The sheep from New Zealand, and the cute blue one next to it, 1983 for Matthew .

Top right Missouri ornament, below a doggie one that Spice didn't eat. To the right we bought this in New Mexico, and to the left from Germany a wonderful gift from Jason. That little one down on the right, something Heather made.

Texas Mistletoe and a 2010 Hershey memorable piece.

Yes, our tree is real! All our ornaments are very special. They bring out memories, of where we have been.

Our newest one is our flat Heather, at least this year. She couldn't make it home from school. Her smiles and giggles are missed.
Family seems to be going away.

What now?

Mick and Rob all dressed up, and having some fun.

Rob, Jennifer, me, Mick, Julie and Naomi. Juiles daughter visiting from England.

It was a beautiful day to enjoy the sights and the wine.

Yes, Jennifer was taking pictures of everything. Maybe because Mick lent Jennifer his lens. She was in love!

Grapes were ready for pickin.

Beautiful day, great people, of course the day went by to fast.

Until next time!

Jennifers Homcoming 2011

Our youngest of four, a senior. She is having a outstanding year in everything she does. One surprise was being nominated for Homecoming Queen.

She is our wild child, all in a good way. She enjoys life, and she shows it. She is alot of fun with us and her friends love her so.

There is proud Dad.

Jennifer in the parade, a little nervous, she is not a show boat so this Homecoming thing was out of her box.  But she new how Rob wanted to walk her accross the football field.

Jenn gave us the parade wave, just for us.

She didn't win, but look at that smile, she is so happy!

The real smile, she is so tickled pink!
LOL

Proud Dad and daughter.

The Court.

Mel one of  Heathers friend, adopted Jennifer as her younger sister she never had made this cute banner.

Brittany surprised Jennifer and showed up with a beautiful roses. I'm sure this is a High School event that she'll never forget.
Great memories.
