My NEW quilting project

I have a lot of scraps , and I'm one of those people that can't get rid of anything under a 1 1/2 inch. I had so much I told myself I would not buy any more fabric. Which isn't that hard since the closest place is 30 minutes away.

I wanted to make a lap quilt for our bed room. More display, but we could use it for afternoon naps. Any white two and half inch square, and a about 1 1/2 in strip all the way around.

I love it!
I have technique I found to make it so much easier.
The question is how many square in a squares do I need to make a lap quilt?
